About Parashar Gaur
Welcome to the web site of Parashar Gaur, a Garhwali language filmmaker, poet, and artist. Born in the UP hills (now Uttarakhand) on the eve of Indian Independence, Gaur moved to Delhi at a young age, where he became part of the theatre scene before launching the first ever Garhwali language film, Jagwal (The Long Wait) in 1983. He now resides in Toronto, Canada with his family.
This blog will highlight Gaur's work as well as Garhwali cinema as it has developed since its beginnings a quarter of a century ago.

Dear Mr. Prasar,
Jagwal was the great effort by you. I was in 5th class at thet time and have seen shooting of this moovi in Pauri near This Vatnery Hospital. I still remeber the diloge "Ramu pari laho". You had retake this seen three or four time.
The title JAGWAL is a beautiful ward in garhwali language.
I have seen this moovi only time when i was 10 yrs old. But now again i want to see this moovi now.
But i m unable to get any print of this moovi in the market.
